Our customers use our virtual private servers for everything from self-hosting personal websites and file hosting to deploying production apps and hosting Minecraft game servers.
Typically, our customers use Cloud VPS for:
Back-end Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions.
Email server hosting.
Self-hosting various services and apps like Bitwarden and Nextcloud.
Game server hosting (check out our sister brand GPORTAL for dedicated game servers).
Crypto projects like staking Ethereum and farming Chia.
All four Cloud VPS plans offer a lot of proverbial bang for the buck. The most popular plan our customers choose is the Cloud VPS M plan. Customers looking for high volume storage usually purchase a Storage VPS plan or Object Storage.
Regardless of the plan you pick, you can spin up servers in any of our eight global Regions located in the EU (Germany), the United States (New York City, St. Louis, and Seattle), Singapore, the UK, Australia, and Japan.br>
And if you need servers with more powerful specs, then you should check out either our Cloud VDS plans or our bare metal dedicated servers.
Each Cloud VPS plan is pre-configured to give you the most bang for your buck, so you’re not able to customize or change the hardware specs of your plan. But, you can upgrade to a better configuration or increase storage as recommended in your plan.
We also recommend exploring our cloud virtual dedicated servers (Cloud VDS) or checking out our brawny dedicated servers if you want end-to-end customization.
Yes, you can upgrade to a larger VPS plan through the Customer Control Panel. Go to the admin section, then click “Manage” and select “Upgrade VPS” from the drop-down menu.
If you want to downgrade, then you’ll need to buy the smaller plan through the Customer Control Panel. Once you downgrade, we recommend transferring all the data from your current VPS to the new one, and then mark your VPS for cancellation. You’re always welcome to contact support if you need help with this.
Nabtech supports many operating systems (we firmly believe in offering as many choices as possible to our customers). You can choose from a wide range of popular Linux distributions: CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, and many others.
We also offer Windows Server for those who prefer to roll with Windows. If you choose Windows Server, then note that the Windows license fee is added to your monthly VPS fee.
Yes, we offer cPanel and Plesk admin at additional cost. We also offer Webmin for free. Note that we’re offering Plesk for free for the first month across our Cloud VPS, Cloud VDS, Storage VPS, and Dedicated Server plans.
And if you’re not satisfied with Plesk within the first month, then just cancel it before the end of your first month through the Customer Control Panel (you won’t be charged if you cancel it before the first month ends).
We recommend reading our Knowledgebase on getting your server up and running: it covers everything from accessing the Nabtech Customer Control Panel to configuring additional IP addresses.
