A manual refresh is useful when you expect a message and want to check the server immediately. It is different from changing the phone's background fetch schedule. Start by selecting the correct account so a combined inbox does not hide which service you are checking.

What you need before you begin
Confirm the full business email address and keep webmail available for comparison. If you are testing delivery, ask the sender to use a new, distinctive subject so you can identify the same message in both places.
01 Check a hosting mailbox manually in Apple Mail
- Open Mail and return to Mailboxes. Select the Inbox belonging to your Nabtech mailbox rather than relying only on All Inboxes.
- Pull the message list downward to request a refresh. Keep the app open while it connects and note any connection or account error.
- Clear an active unread filter or search if the expected message may already exist but is hidden from the current view. Check Junk and other folders.
- If the message still does not appear, open webmail for the same address and compare the server Inbox.
Confirm the expected result
Ask a trusted sender to send one uniquely titled test message. Check when it arrives in webmail and then in Mail. This separates a server-delivery problem from a phone synchronisation problem.
Troubleshoot unexpected results
If webmail has the message, check the phone network, saved mailbox password and selected account. If webmail also lacks it, investigate sender delivery, mailbox quota and filtering. Repeatedly removing the account can put local-only drafts at risk.
A common question
Does manual refresh enable instant background delivery?
No. Manual refresh checks when you request it. Background delivery depends on the account's supported push or fetch behavior and the phone's settings.
