Recovering the Nord Account used by your VPN subscription

security-ssl

Recover the Nord Account associated with your activated VPN subscription before creating a replacement account. Your Nabtech client-area login and your Nord Account can use different credentials and serve different purposes.

01 Recover the correct account

  1. Check the activation record and identify the email address used for Nord Account. Keep the Nabtech service or invoice reference available if the subscription association is unclear.
  2. Open the official Nord Account sign-in page. If a linked Google or Apple sign-in or an email login code is available for your account, use that established method.
  3. For a forgotten password, choose Forgot your password?, enter the registered email and request the reset. Open the received link and create a unique password.
  4. If the message does not arrive, check the address, mailbox filtering and available space. Request another message only after confirming that the first request targeted the correct account.
  5. If you have lost the authenticator, use See other options and an unused backup code where available. Reconfigure MFA and preserve the new recovery codes securely after regaining access.
  6. If both MFA and backup codes are unavailable, use Nord's official recovery process. For a partner purchase, explain the purchase route and provide the requested ownership evidence through the official support channel.
  7. Confirm the subscription in the recovered account and sign back into the VPN app. Review recovery contact details and linked sign-in methods.

Common questions

Will resetting my Nabtech password reset Nord Account?

No. Use the recovery process for the account that is actually failing.

What if I no longer control the registered mailbox?

Use Nord's account email-change recovery process and contact us if purchase verification is needed. Creating another account does not automatically move the subscription.

Should I send support my backup codes?

No. Use codes only in the official sign-in process. Support should request appropriate ownership evidence, not your reusable account secrets.
