Email Scout Reports summarise messages matching a defined SpamExperts search. Configure the scope and recipient carefully so a quarantine digest does not expose another employee's mail details.

01 Create a useful report
- At the authorised Admin or Domain level, open Incoming > Logs or Outgoing > Logs. Set the intended domain, recipient, time and status in the query rules.
- Choose Show Results and confirm the sample includes only the information the recipient should receive. Select Email me this report.
- Enter a recognisable Subject, a valid Sender and the intended template.
- For a one-time test, choose Right away and enter the recipient in Destination. For a repeating report, select the schedule and review Deliver To, using a specific destination when appropriate.
- At Admin level, also confirm the selected domains. Choose Schedule, check the first delivered report and verify its mailbox scope before extending distribution.
02 Reports for shared mailboxes
Automatic Email Scout Reports are not sent to shared mailboxes or distribution lists. A custom repeating report offers an Include shared mailboxes choice when delivering to All Mailboxes. Review that wider selection carefully, or configure the intended specific destination.
03 Make review actionable
Tell users how to recognise the expected report and where to open the trusted filtering portal. A digest is a prompt to review messages; users should still inspect unexpected sender identities and attachments before release.
Common questions
Why did the report stop arriving?
Check the schedule, recipient address and report exclusions or unsubscribe state. Also inspect whether its search has any matching messages and whether the mailbox filters the report itself.
Does a report show all company mail?
Only if its configured search and permissions allow that scope. Use mailbox-specific reporting for ordinary users and wider reporting only for authorised administrators.
How do I stop an old digest?
Open the automatic or custom report management and remove or disable the relevant schedule. Check for multiple schedules before assuming one change stops every copy.
Review report recipients after staff departures. Keep the schedule frequent enough for the business need without creating a stream of ignored notifications. Urgent delivery failures should have an active support route rather than wait for the next digest.
